Public Lecture on “Literacy for Nationalism”
The objective of the event is to inculcate your audience to exercise a true spirit of nationalism in the process of employing their education received, especially so, during nation building, whiles a dye need for a change of the negative attitude of the national work force that is contributing to the development process.
Please be informed that Eight-hundred (800) beneficiaries have been targeted to form your audience, comprised of women, youth and adult learners from our Functional Literacy Centres in Freetown and Waterloo and a few members from civil society organisations, Government departments and the private sector within the Western Area.
Certificates are expected to be issued to the beneficiaries Gbanabom for the first time in the history of this beautifully challenging real life transforming event.
Consecutively since 2008, we were able to present two great public lecturers in the persons of Mr. Abdulai Bayraytay, a Sierra Leonean Based in Canada and Mr. Rodney Lowe, a British Civil and Human Right Activist on these two exciting topics; “Youth Orientation” and “Democracy” on Sunday 19th October 2008 and Sunday 18th October 2009 respectively.
